Once you’ve put together the content for the five basic pages of your web site, it’s time to consider all the special pages that can add so much to your visitors’ experience (and to your staff’s experience as well).
Adding a dedicated Locations Page is recommended for practices with multiple offices, and is often the first page a visitor will click to. We’ll draw a custom map for each location’s page and add a link to MapQuest® or Google™ for directions.
The Insurance Page can list all your practice’s insurance contracts, as well as your policies for patient responsibility and co-pays. You can list a dedicated phone number for insurance inquiries (if applicable) that will reduce calls to your receptionist. Make sure that you keep the listings on this page up to date.
The Billing Policy Page is a great way to help reduce financial misunderstanding with yout patients. State your practice billing policy here, as well as your appointment cancellation policy. As in the Insurance Page, you can list a dedicated phone number or email address to steer inquiries to a particular staff person .
The Patient Education Page is the best way to keep patients on your site when looking for health information. You can spell out how your practice treats certain health issues and provide pre- and post-op instructions. This is an ideal place to refer just-diagnosed patients for detailed information on their condition, and can reduce the volume of follow-up calls to your providers.
The addition of Video Files to your web site adds significant depth and content, and is what the current generation of Internet users has come to expect from quality web sites. There are several types of videos to consider – the Welcome to the Practice, Patient Testimonial and Procedure videos that you can create, as well as video files from TV interviews or presentations that your providers have done. We can help produce a complete suite of videos for your practice – contact us for info.
A page of Favorite Links can quickly add to your web site’s resources, and is also a great way to build goodwill with those you link to. Hospitals, referring doctors, medical associations and medical reference sites are good sources, and there’s no cost to you to add these links. We’ll display the logo next to each link to make for easier access by your visitors.
Photo Gallery pages are the perfect addition to plastic surgery, dermatolgy and medical spa practice web sites. There’s no better way to promote cosmetic procedures than a high-res blowup, preferable in a before-and-after format. Make sure you get a patient release in writing before any images are uploaded (we can provide the forms if desired).
