The set-up of your new E-mail account in an E-mail client program (like Outlook, Outlook Express, Microsoft Mail, Entourage Mail, AOL Mail, etc.) all follow the same basic rules.

We’ll confirm the account name (like Info@YourDomain.com) you requested, along with a valid password. That’s all you need to set-up your new account. Just follow this simple procedure for a typical Outlook Express installation.

After launching Outlook Express, select Tools and then Accounts.

Select Add, then Mail

Enter the name you’d like your recipients to see here. Then click Next

Enter your complete e-mail address, then click Next

Select IMAP, then enter mail.yourdomain.com (“yourdomain” = your actual domain name) in both fields

Enter your complete E-Mail address and password. Check Remember password if you don’t want to be prompted each time you launch Outlook Express. Leave SPA unchecked. Click Next (you'll exit the Internet Connection Wizard).

Then click on Properties for the new account and then click on the Servers tab. Select the My server requires authentication button and then click on Settings.

The button for Use same settings as my incoming server should be selected already (if not, select it). Click on OK, then OK or Close all the open windows. You should be all set – enjoy your new e-mail account!
